1. Who can use Legend Maps

You must be at least 18 years old to use Legend Maps. By using the app you confirm that you are 18 or over and legally able to enter into these Terms.

2. What Legend Maps is

Legend Maps lets driving enthusiasts discover, record and share real-world driving routes, and to navigate to and along them. Legend Maps is part of the wider Legend ecosystem, and routes and media you share may be transformed into virtual experiences, including games. The app is offered "as is" for enjoyment; we may change, suspend or discontinue features at any time.

3. Your account

You are responsible for the information you provide, for keeping your credentials secure, and for all activity under your account. Provide accurate information and keep it up to date.

4. Driving safety & your responsibility

Legend Maps exists for the joy of driving — always responsibly and within the law. By using the app you acknowledge and agree that:

• You must at all times obey all applicable traffic laws and drive safely and lawfully, having regard to road, weather and traffic conditions.
• You must not interact with the app while driving; set up the app before you set off, and let a passenger operate it or stop safely if you need to use it.
• Any timed, competitive, "race" or performance features are intended for use on closed circuits or private tracks only, and never on public roads. Speeding, racing or reckless driving on public roads is illegal and strictly prohibited.
• You are solely responsible for your own driving and conduct. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we accept no responsibility or liability for any accident, injury, death, loss, damage, fine or legal consequence arising from your use of the app or your driving.

5. User content

Legend Maps is a community app: routes, photos, videos, names and other content are created and uploaded by users ("User Content"). You are solely responsible for the User Content you submit and must have the rights to share it. You must not upload content that is unlawful, infringing, misleading, offensive, harassing, dangerous, or that encourages illegal or unsafe driving.

Because content is user-generated, it may include inappropriate or inaccurate material. We use reporting tools and some manual review to keep the platform under control, but we cannot guarantee that we detect or remove all such content. We do not endorse User Content and, to the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not responsible or liable for it. Please use the in-app report tools to flag content; we may remove content and suspend or terminate accounts at our discretion.

6. Licence you grant to us

You keep ownership of your User Content. By submitting it, you grant Block Bastards, Unipessoal Lda. a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sub-licensable licence to host, store, reproduce, adapt, publish, translate, create derivative works from, and otherwise use your User Content and any data derived from it (including recorded routes and telemetry) for the purpose of operating, promoting and developing the Legend ecosystem — including transforming routes and media into virtual experiences and games. This licence is necessary to run the service and, as described below, continues for shared ecosystem content after account deletion in anonymised form.

7. Your contributions become part of the app

When you upload tracks (routes) and their supporting media, you are making a contribution to Legend Maps. Once uploaded, that contribution becomes part of the app and the wider Legend ecosystem — it is shared community and game content that other users rely on and that may be built into virtual experiences and games. You acknowledge and agree that these contributed tracks are intended to outlive your individual account.

8. Account deletion & what happens to your data

You can delete your account at any time from within the app. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. When you delete your account:

By using the app, uploading contributions, and deleting your account you acknowledge and agree to the above. See the Privacy Policy for more on data handling.

• Your driving history is deleted — your recorded runs, times and leaderboard entries are removed and cannot be recovered.
• Your personal media and data are deleted from the app, including your profile data and profile images, your car photos and car videos, and any welcome-screen / "featured" photos you submitted.
• The tracks and supporting media you contributed survive — they remain part of the Legend ecosystem and are not deleted, because they are now shared community and game content. However, any reference identifying you as their creator is removed (the content is anonymised).

9. Acceptable use

You must not misuse the app, including by: breaking the law; infringing others' rights; uploading harmful, dangerous or illegal content; encouraging unsafe or illegal driving; attempting to disrupt, reverse engineer or gain unauthorised access to the service; or impersonating others.

10. Disclaimers & limitation of liability

The app and all content are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Block Bastards, Unipessoal Lda. shall not be liable for any misuse of the app, for User Content, for your or others' driving behaviour, for any interruption, inaccuracy or data loss, or for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law, including your statutory consumer rights.

11. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold Block Bastards, Unipessoal Lda. harmless from any claims, losses or costs arising from your use of the app, your User Content, your driving, or your breach of these Terms or the law.

12. Changes

We may update the app and these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated date and version. Continued use after changes means you accept them.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Portugal and applicable European Union law, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protection rights in your country of residence. Disputes are subject to the competent courts of Portugal, unless applicable law provides otherwise.
